This new beefed-up version of the Bass Big Muff Pi adds more tone control to meet the needs of modern bassists, .

One of its new features is a pad on the input that is switchable between 0dB and -10dB, making the pedal compatible with both passive pickups (which more traditional styled bassist prefer) and active pickups (pickup of choice for many modern style bass guitar players).

The pedal now features a blend knob that lets you mix the dry and distorted signal to taste. For even more control over the output, the pedal comes with three output ports – a 1/4″ effect out, 1/4″ buffered dry out and an XLR DI out.

For detailed sound sculpting, this bass fuzz pedal comes with a footswitchable crossover section that applies a variable low pass filter on the dry signal and a variable high pass filter on the distorted signal. The crossover knobs work in conjunction with the blend knob, they help in keeping the low end clear and focused, while retaining good highs.

To help eliminate unwanted noise and hum, the Deluxe Bass Big Muff Pi comes with a built-in noise gate with adjustable threshold via the gate knob.

All these features are housed in a tough and rugged die-cast chassis following the same design as other EHX made pedals. It can be powered by a 9-volt battery or via an optional 9.6-Volt AC Adapter.

The EHX Deluxe Bass Big Muff Pi will sell for around $152.20. For more information, you can visit EHX.
