The Voodoo Lab Giggity pedal, a cool mastering preamp for guitar, is now shipping – featuring controls that can shape your tone.
This anticipated pedal is finally being released by Voodoo Lab in small quantities, with a larger release planned over the coming months.
Instead of the usual preamp pedals, Voodoo Lab decided to give guitarists a tool to transform guitar tone. It features essential EQ controls and 4 preamp voicings that will let you shape your guitar tone. Giggity can behave like a second amp channel, if not a new amp altogether, in a portable pedal format.
The Loudness knob controls the preamp input gain, where lower settings are ideal for clean sounds while higher settings add a bit of grit and compression for overdriven and distortion sounds. The Body knob is used for cutting or boosting the lower mid / upper bass frequencies while the Air knob controls the high treble frequencies. Finally you have the Master knob which controls the overall volume of the output signal.
Finally the Sun and Moon knob is a four position preamp voicing selector. You can pick the “Sun” setting which provides emphasis on high frequency details, or you can move up to the “Moon” setting which gives you a warmer tone. The four preamp voicings are designed to give you enough flexibility to fine tune your personal tone or even add more guitar tones to your playing arsenal.
