Guitar Noize evaluates Riffworks

Jon over at Guitar Noize is pretty impressed with Sonoma Wirework's guitar recording and effects software, Riffworks. Coupled with something like Abelton Live, Jon says he would pretty much have a perfect set up for a very small amount of cash.

Riffworks “This is a really fun bit of software, it really takes me back to when my brother and I got our first 4-track (Yamaha MT100II) and started recording song after song. The key to Riffworks is that it has been tailored to creating songs by Riffs (not suprisingly!)” Jon says.

“The next thing that makes it so great is a little feature called Instant Drummer which lets you dial up a drum loop and with the turn of a dial alter the intensity of the playing and the variation of the pattern.”

If the GuitarNoize review wasn't enough to sway your wallet in Riffworks direction, reader comments also give the thumbs up to the software's talented drum machine.

Jamie Nelson: “The drummer feature is better than any drum machine or software I have ever used. They don`t skimp on the drummers they give you either. There are more you can buy, but you can do plenty with the 9 that come with it.”

J.J.: “For a guitarist, the Instant Drummer is one of the best features of RiffWorks.”
