This new rack extension brings classic tube amp emulations for guitar players that use Reason, covering everything from jangly to tube overdriven tones.

Now that this plug-in is in rack extension format, the amp simulator benefits from the same control experience as other Reason “devices”. This means that it goes beyond regular plug-ins, you can set it up in conjunction with your other Reason devices whichever way you prefer.

Amplifikation Vermillion is inspired by classic guitar combo amplifiers, and as such it provides tones that “truly sing to your playing style”, as described by Kuassa.

Although it only comes with 3 amp types, the modeled amplifiers and their two channels can reproduce a wealth of classic guitar sounds. The clean channel has a chimey and warm sound that is ideal for blues, soul, funk, country and other old school “roots” music. You can also tweak the clean channel to add some grit to your sound, ideal for pop and other modern music styles.

The lead channel starts where the clean channel ends, providing enough overdrive for modern rock styles and for lead breaks. It has enough drive saturation that lets it handle even heavier music styles to some degrees.

Aside from modeled amps, this new rack extension also comes with classic guitar effects which include Tremolo and Spring Reverb. The Tremolo covers a wide range of pulsating sounds from subtle to crazy fast, which you can tweak to your preference. The built-in spring reverb effect is modeled after an actual analog reverb hardware, designed to reproduce the lush analog sound of the hardware in digital format.

Amplifikation Vermilion also include 5 types of matching cabinets and 4 microphone types with adjustable dual-miking configurations that can be easily adjusted via the plug-in’s life-like interface. Other notable features include a built-in noise gate and limiter, which can be conveniently used when you crank the amp volume and gain up.

Since the plug-in is now in rack extension format, you can conveniently route cables on the back of the virtual amps, automate all parameters, and you can experiment all you want without worries, thanks to the unlimited undo feature.

The Kuassa Amplifikation Vermilion rack extension is currently being sold for $39. Visit the Propellerhead shop for more information.
