When Line 6 launched AMPLIFi, the most common complaint about it was that it is not compatible with Android Tablets and Phones, thankfully, the company has resolved this concern by releasing a software update to make the amp compatible with Android devices.

Owners of Line 6 AMPLIFi can now update the firmware of their amps to version 2.0, which opens up compatibility with popular Android smart phones and tablets.

After this update, iOS users will no longer be the only ones that will enjoy the Bluetooth connectivity features of AMPLIFi. This first public release of AMPLIFi Remote for Android, signals the wider compatibility of the amp, and it it carries the same functionality as the ones found on the iOS version.

With this app, you can take command of the amp’s 70 amp models, 100 effects and 20 speaker cabinet simulations. You can mix and match up to 8 simultaneous effects right on your Android tablet or mobile phone. You can also now use your Android device to remotely modify your amp settings, allowing for convenient real-time adjustments.

The most noteworthy features of AMPLIFi is also now within reach, you can now match your guitar tone with the songs in your library conveniently through the app. This is accomplished by the app automatically for you, which means quick and easy operation and fun practice and jam sessions.

The newly released updated app and firmware also gives you access to the multitude of tones that are shared by other users online, and you can also use the app to share your own tone creations. You can even post your tone creations to your social media accounts!

The new AMPLIFi Remote v2.0 App is compatible with devices that are running Android 4.2 to 4.4. Here are the specific phones and tablets that were mentioned by the company:
