TC Electronic TonePrint Editor

TC Electronic finally allows their customers to customize their TonePrint pedals by using the new TonePrint Editor.

TonePrint Editor

This much-anticipated software is the same one used to create the TonePrints of artists, providing in depth editing of parameters that was not accessible before.

To help you get acquainted with the various faders of this deep patch editing software, TC Electronic provided Template TonePrints that you can use as starting points. They are great reference settings that will give you a better idea of the parameters and how they affect your pedal.

The fun starts when you get more familiar with the software and begin assigning parameters to the knobs. With the TonePrint Editor, you can assign various functions to the knobs, so they control what you want them to control. You can even assign multiple functions into one knob, allowing you to adjust multiple paramaters with one turn, and you can also specify the range of the knobs.

To monitor the effect values assigned to your knobs, the upper left corner of the editor has a small graphical interface that represents the knob values by peaks and valleys. You can use this interface to make your preferred adjustments. You can also click the numbers and supply a numerical value manually, if you want to precise values.

Familiar parameters are located on the right hand side of the editor, they will let you determine the different values of the effect that make up your TonePrint. This slider-based menu will let you control the basic functions of the pedal. TC Electronic applied a ‘what you see is what you get’ approach on this software, if you change a value, the change will automatically be applied to the pedal, which you can test in real-time. This section lets you set your base sound, essential functions and modifiers.
