hey man if you want to keep up with your other guitar player, and pass him get a dual rectifier 2×12 by mesa boogie. mesa makes one of the greatest amps ever. the clean sounds are ok, just add a stomp box effect or two and you are there. the dirty channel will blow that little marshall out of the water.
