: Hello… : Can anyone give me pointers or hints on how to play lead guitar. I guess I should start with the scales but I can’t find any site that has a straight forward discussion on scales and on how to use them. Also, I am having a hard time playing by ear, meaning, I can’t play a song or tune just by listening to it I still need to have the cords of the song at hand before I can play the song.
