you've got to tune your guitar into drop D, this mean tune your top string to D, then for the versus, you start of with the D chord and move to the bar chord of Dm but remove your middle finger. then for the pre-chorus it is G#m but remove the middle finger, and then slide it up one bar and back and forth until chorus. then for the chorus it is D, to G#m to Dm (but remember take your middle finger off on the G#m and Dm chords)
For "arms wide open"
you start off in a C then go to Em then to Am and stay on Am for 2 bars, thats for the versus. the chorus goes F, C, Em, then Dm (on the bar Dm release the middle finger)
it goes like that throughout the whole song.
