Tom,
I am seeking the same information as you. I also have a Hohner HG-320 made 02/79. I bought it used in 1982. I have asked many dealers but none of them could even find this model in thier blue books. They list HG-318 and HG-330 (classical) hg-340 special edition but no HG-320. I think it is a copy of a Martin D-45. It has many of the markings and features and probably cost 1/10th of the price. My guitar plays and sounds great. I hope to find out more information so if you get any more responces to your question please forward them to me. Happy pickin, Bill

Tom:

I also have an HG 320 Limited Edition, Handmade in Japan for Hohner. I bought it in 1975 but don't recall the exact price because I traded a Guild Hollow Body Electric Guitar for part of the price. I was only 22 at the time and was flabergasted that the guitar store I went to offered me $550.00 for my Guild. I bought it 5 years earlier from an older friend for $150.00. (Obviously he obtained it in some questional manner, but at 17 years old, I didn't know I was getting any kind of a deal.) The manager hummed and Ha'd a little before he sheepishly said "well I think we could only offer you about $550.00. I wasn't experienced enough to dicker and accepted the $550.00 and applied it towards the Hohner. In addition, I remember having to pay about an additional $100.00. I got it with a medium quality hard body case. In other words, when I bought it 27 years ago, It was a very expensive guitar. I'm trying to find a relative value for it now, so if you've learnde anything else, I'll be anxious to hear.

It has always been a beautiful sounding guitar which I have considered player friendly. Let me know if you hear anything else.

How can you tell on this model when the guitar was made. I have the same one and am interested in any information about it also.

Re: hohner guitar

I just bought a 310 and have a 1980 price list but no 320 listed. I've had several old Hohners and also have an hg800s that I like better than my super 400...

Hohner HG320

I bought a Hohner 320 Limited Edition back around 1975 and still have it today. I paid about $300 for it. Today I have played some Martins and Taylors and to be honest about it, I wouldn't trade this Hohner for any Martin or Taylor I have played. This is one really nice guitar, plays well and still looks great!! NO!! It is NOT for sale!!

HG 210 Hohner guitar

I have an HG 210 Hohner and have been looking to buy another one if someone has one out there please contact me.989-295-6395 Dan

Hohner HG-320

They're rarely ever for sale as they're wore WAY more as a player than they fetch monetarily. I paid $219 for mine in 1997 and that included a new case. The HG-320's I've seen for sale on ebay have been fetching between $400-$600. I'd have to spend at least $2000 to replace my HG-320 with a guitar of equal quality and sound. hence, I'll never part with it.

Hohner HG-320 Limited Edition guitar

I have a Hohner HG320 Limited Edition. It's dated 7-76 inside and I received it as a graduation gift in June of 1977. I've read that this was the "Martin lawsuit" guitar. I can't find much else about them, much less a value. I think that people that have them are holding tight to them because they are phenomenal! Light, easy, fast action, rich bass and clear, ringing high notes. It stays in tune. I can't say enough good things about this guitar. I'll never part with it.

Hohner international HG 330 limited addition

Does anyone know what its worth. i'd like to sell it.

hohner HG-318

im trying to find out what year the hohner classical acoustic guitar HG-318 was made and how much it could be valued at now.

HG-320

I have the same guitar purchased in 1977 or 1978 for around $320.00 including the case. I bought it Tolzein Music in Amarillo Texas. It has always been and still is a great guitar. In trying to establish a value, I read somewhere that it was roughly worth the exact value that I bought it for in 77 or 78. While I was in college, there was a specialty shopping center called Olls Podrida in North Dallas, and there was a guitar and Banjo shop the made hand crafted wooden banjoes. He also bought sold and repaired Hohner HG320 guitars. He had maybe 15-20 of them either for sale or in for minor repairs. I cannot find out who he was but did get info from a guitar repair legend in Dallas that the guitar in the rough condition that mine is in (lots of gigs and loys of miles) that it was worth about $375 with the original case. My original case it pretty beat up. I wouldn't take $5000 for that guitar. Too many memories and my son still prefers to play it over the other 7 guitars we have between us. If I ever fine the repair guy, I will re-post his info.

HG 330 Hohner

I have a HG330 in new condition and know nothing about it. Any help about the 330 would be greatly appreciated. Value?

Hohner HG320

I too have a HG320. Had it since new back in the 70,s.Still in showroom condition with all original gear including hard case, shoulder strap and everything it came withfrom new.I myself never pursued playing (hence its great condition) but do have several friends that do and they are all amazed at thhis guitar. Every one of them want it.I was toying with the idea of selling it, if only for the fact that someone who knows this guitar could truly appreciate it. With that said I would be interested in some offers (obviouslyI would have my friends in on it too) it seems to me that it would be a waste for tis Hohner not get played more.

HG320 Hohner

Do you still have this guitar? and is it for sale? I own a HG310 AND love it. Let me know, Thank You, Brian.

Hohner HG320

Picked my HG320 up while it was on consignment here in FL for $350. Didn't know much about them at the time but I played it and I won't ever sell it. Not sure on the month it was made in but I know it's a 78. Apparently the original owner bought it way back in the day and played it maybe a total of ten times. Sat in his closet for 20 years and then he finally decided to part ways with it. Lucky me. Thanks for all of the info!

I recorded this fiddle tune on my Hohner HG 320.I get many compliments on the tone and questions about what expensive guitar was used to record this. :-)

Honher HG-318

Hi everyone

I have a Honher 318. It was my grandfathers guitar. It's still in excellent shape. Does anyone have an idea how much this guitar might be worth?

Any assistance would be appreciated!

hg 230

I have a HG 230. I can't find out any thing about it. It sounds great and is in great shape. Does any one have any info. on this guitar?

Hohner HG-230

I also have an HG-230, looking for more info. Has a Limited Edition Series 1 wood badge inside the sound hole with model number (HG-230) and the Hohner name. The headstock has an abalone inlay with large vertical "HOHNER" logo. The whole acoustic is flamed wood...top, sides and back with brass nut, brass saddle and brass bridge pins...all original. Beautiful acoustic. Perhaps one of the best acoustics I've ever played. I have yet to see another one of these. Made in Japan, 1970's. Has the number: 150107 on the inside neck area.

Ltd Edition Series 1 HG 210

Not for sale but, real curious for a price as i cant find anything on it anywhere, as my friends just love the sound and feel. An old flame bought it as a birthday gift in the mid eighties and just thinking about it now, that's 30 years ago. She's gone but, I still have the great sounding pearl neck Hohner.... thx

hg 320

This guitar was hand crafted for Hohner by K.Yari in japan. 3 piece rosewood back and sides with a bearclaw spruce top. If it is in top condition it could fetch as much as $1000...D

Hohner LC100 N

Hohner LC 100 N. What's the price?

Hohner HG - 220 model

I can't find anything on this model as well. It is a Limited Edition Series either 1 or I, and made in Japan. It is a Dreadnought style. I think the serial # is 160076.
My Ex bought me this guitar in the mid-70's. Bought it at her brother's music store and think she paid $400 or so.
To this day, this guitar looks just like new and sounds fantastic. It also stays tuned and very seldom needs adjustment, even though I haven't used it much. However, I am getting to like it more and more all the time. Just in case you would be interested, it is not for sale.

If anyone has any information on this model, I would certainly appreciate hearing from you.

The value of old Hohner guitars

Well, I have some pamphlets with good info on some of the old Hohners. In particular, there was an early limited edition with the numbers HG 320 through HG370 that all had solid woods throughout and were wonderfully built. I've owned several and wouldn't take a similar Martin in exchange. I have copies of this pamphlet available for download but can't figure out how to post them.

Hohner site

I have found this site https://www.tdpri.com/threads/hohner-owners.305616/ to be very active. You may wish to visit it.

Hohner hg300

Hello, I picked up an hohner hg300, was advertised as a Martin d28 copy but a very knowledgeable gituarist says its a copy of the d35, to which by sound I agree. Does anyone have a comment about this. Love it and finally found my guitar!
