No one has replied yet, so I'll add my limited knowledge. Right now, Epiphone (not Gibson) Doves are going for as low as $250, while Epiphone Hummingbirds (again, not Gibson) are going for $350. They're supposed to be quite nice guitars, especially compared to their Gibson counterparts at like $3000. However, keep in mind that I'm talking new guitars here. I don't know what a 60's Epi would be worth at all... I didn't know there was such thing as an Epi Dove from the 60's! Didn't the REAL Gibson Dove just start to come out in the 60's? They wouldn't make "budget" Epiphone versions so quickly, would they? Make sure you aren't getting scammed...
Gibson acoustics, as a rule, always sound really good... Lots of Epiphones sound surprisingly awesome too. I really want an Epiphone Hummingbird, or maybe a Dove. Anyone have any info on them?
