NME photographer, Andrew Kendall, was recently the victim of a “violent mugging” according to NME.com. Andrew was returning from a gig he was covering in Stoke Newington (UK) when he was attacked and his camera kit worth around £5,000 was stolen.
NME.com reports that Andrew “has been told by his insurance company that he is not eligible for any compensation.”
As a result, he is now trying to raise funds to purchase new equipment by selling limited edition prints. He is hoping to sell five hundred 12″x8″ prints at £15 each.
Andrew says on his LiveJournal that the following equipment was stolen.
Canon EOS-1D Mark II – Serial Number: 0000208375
Canon EF24-70mm f/2.8L USM – Serial Number: 121537
