I have recently recieved a Sada Yairi six string acoustic guitar from my late grandfather. The information is as follows; 1976 made in Japan distributed in Philadelphia no.720 in excellent condition. Can anyone offer anything as to value, worth, or as a collectible? Thanks, Robert

If you do a google search on the brand, you'll find a number of hits, and there's even a yairi forum on Yahoo.

You've probably already found info, but thought I'd respond in case someone else has the same guitar.

The 720 Sadao Yairi model had a MSRP of $290 in 1977, and was one of the low end models at that time, the higher end models were 800's.

Still, a very nice guitar! Solid spruce top~ believe the back was mahogany, but without pix can't be sure.
