Hello to all...where to start?...my name is Dean and I'm so new to guitars and even computers. Just searched on google and this wonderful site came up. I have my first acoustic guitar bought it used and the inside label was tore out and all I have is a inlay to find out any info on it. I will try to add a pic and I hope someone will be able send some info myway. Thanks for all your help, looking forward to getting to know all of you. Dino |

Thanks 1bassleft, I had lot of trouble with my first few post attempts
but someone was kind enough to get rid of my boo-boos. I see that the pic was there. Thanks again for all your help.

Hi again, Dino,
That inlay is not much help by itself. Looks like abalone and mother-of-pearl. Can you do a pic of the whole guitar? |

| Apols for the delay, Dean. I've been getting set for a quick hol and forgot this thread. Hmmm, with no soundhole label and only a symbol for the headstock inlay, ID is a bit difficult. The likelihood is that it's been made in Korea or China by one of the big concerns over there that make guitars for various others to put their name to. Nothing wrong with that; Korea and China can make good guitars depending on how much the customer company pays. If yours sounds good then it is good. Sorry I can't help on the ID (look for any stamped markings in the back of the neck on or near the headstock, though). |
