Hello Everyone!
I'm a 52 year old guy, a child of the 60's I suppose you'd say, that's been playing guitar now for over 40 years. I'm no "expert" really, but I do fairly well.
Currently the owner of a variety of mid-range instruments, (and I like it that way), I have "been there/done that" with the expensive ones, and find great satisfaction in the fact that the mid-range instruments can give me tremendous sound, and playability, without the high price tag.
Here's a pic of the current family, (the Hummingbird I bought for the wife). I have to say that I'm particularly partial to the all-Mahogany Guild, and am looking to buy another one, in fact.

I've owned equally as many mandolins, in the last few years, (Washburns, Kentuckys, Michael Kelly's, Epiphones, etc), and have put that part of my exploration away for a while.
You'll find that I favor Elixir strings and put them on all my instruments, and that I like to go to monthly Jams here in mid-state Connecticut, and willingly brag on the event.
Nice to be here.......let's talk guitars!!

Hey Soupy, welcome to the board Very Happy

Nice to see someone else favours the mid-range too! I never want a guitar (bass in my case) I'm too paranoid to play in public (and I have actually seen that!)...seems weird to me...?!
