    Hi again, fellow picker.

I trust you had fun with the first half of this great old tune from the Rolling Stones. Dropped D is such a rich sounding tuning and the more you use it, the more you love it. It has got to the stage with me now that the only time I tune to standard is when I create these weekly lessons.

Part Two has no surprises … tack it on to the end of part One and you’ll have yourself a nice piece to sit and pick away at. I’ve been playing it all week long.

Go to Guitar for Beginners and Beyond, follow the Weekly Lesson link, as always.

As you may or may not know, I was traveling last year and was selling only the PDF file of my book PlaneTalk. I now have 2000 real books stacked in my office here … it sure is good to have stock again. I have readjusted my prices to reflect the new resource which has evolved over the last couple of years: The PlaneTalkers’ Forum, a private forum for those who have bought the book and/or DVD. We are over 800 strong now, discussing music, the PlaneTalk method, uploading mp3s, playing along to backing tracks. It’s very gratifying to be able to actually hear the progress of some of the customers who do load up examples of their playing. All agree that PlaneTalk has been the steepest learning curve in their playing history. Check it out at the PlaneTalk site and join the mail list to be in the running for the give-away of the book/DVD/membership ‘special’.

I’m still slaving over the Slide Guitar in Standard and Dropped D tunings video I’m putting together. It’s a daily thing, deep in Adobe Premiere territory. It’s going to be good, though. I’m giving all my secrets away in this one too. Visit BottleNeckGuitar.com for updates on it’s availability, to join the Slide Guitar Forum, and to find a couple of free slide lessons.

    Listen to my music here!

All the best, until next week,

    Kirk
