The company described this new line as just the first in their company’s growing line of performance acoustics, and as such each model is designed to be a workhorse instrument that can be used on stage via built-in electronics.

The new Fender Paramount series are said to be designed in the USA, following design elements inspired by instruments from the ’60s while incorporating modern features.

The line currently includes three familiar shapes, the Dreadnought, Parlor and Triple-0, all of which were prevalent in the era where the new series drew inspiration. On top of the three guitar shapes, there are also two models to choose from, first of which is the more affordable Standard version with its stripped down aesthetics. Deluxe version is also available which as expected adds extra flair to the instrument.

Fender EVP Richard McDonald said, “Fender recognizes a modern musician’s need for an all-purpose instrument that takes them through the entire musical journey, from writing and recording to performing on stage. This product reflects the best of Fender’s DNA.”

Aside from having solid top and sides, feature authentic Fender cosmetics taken from the ’60s including checkerboard purfling and rosette, and the distinct pickguard shape. The Deluxe models also come with abalone and mother-of-pearl “Concert Tone” fingerboard inlays.

Giving these guitars the ability to grace the stage are new Fishman designed Paramount preamp systems. Instead of going for a one size fits all pickup, Fender had each of the model have preamp systems that are finely tuned for the voicing of the body shape. This means that the parlor guitar model will sound like a parlor guitar when plugged in, and the same goes with the other two shapes.

The Fender Paramount Deluxe series guitars feature solid Sitka spruce top supported by quartersawn scalloped X bracing, while the back and sides are crafted from solid East Indian rosewood. It also features vintage cosmetic appointments and come in Natural or Vintage Sunburst finish.

The Fender Paramount Standard Series have solid mahogany for the back and sides, while the top is crafted from solid Sitka spruce with the same quartersawn scalloped X-bracing. This line is only available in Natural finish.

The new Fender Paramount Series Acoustics are scheduled for release in February of 2016, and each one ships with a humidifier and hardshell case. Pricing information and other details will soon be available. Visit Fender for the full specifications of the new acoustic guitars.
