Premier Guitar Festivals launch new event series in Boston
Premier Guitar Festivals recently announced a series of regional guitar festivals beginning with Boston, September 15- 16, to be held at Boston's Bayside Expo Center. The festival is expected to host more than 10,000 guitar players, collectors, guitar retailers and enthusiasts for a weekend-long event that will connect players, artists, and educators.

Highlights of the festival include:
- Performances and jam sessions with world-renowned guitar players;
- Workshops and seminars for all skill levels;
- Vintage instruments, top gear, and custom guitars;
- Muriel Anderon's All-Star Guitar Night, on Sat., Sept. 15, with performances by Robben Ford, Johnny A, Muriel Anderson, Monte Montgomery, Mimi Fox, Stu Hamm, Frank Vignola, and local favorites such as J. Geils, Gerry Beaudoin, Duke Robillard, and Ernie and the Automatics.
Premier Guitar Show president Kevin Kopec explains that these weekend festivals fill a void between flea markets and large, national guitar shows. "The entire concept is built on providing a meaningful experience for guitar players of all capabilities and interests. The Premier Guitar Festival in Boston will be a multifaceted experience, complete with dealer and manufacturer exhibits, instruction, and entertainment. It is truly a celebration of the guitar."
Festival organizers are offering special student discounts and will have street teams out in local clubs and at upcoming Red Sox games to further promote the event. Additionally, shuttle bus transportation from Berklee College of Music to/from the Bayside Expo Center will be available all day Saturday.
