Rocksonics distributing V-Comp US wide

The V-COMP Tube Compressor is designed for the musician who demands the finest gear. This compact device is a studio quality valve/opto compressor packaged in a rugged, chrome finished, floor pedal chassis. The compressor circuitry utilizes an ALL TUBE, Class A audio path with a Vactrol as the gain control element. Regulated DC power supplies for both the tube heater and tube plates ensure low noise. Attack and decay characteristics have been optimized for guitar but also work very well with bass and vocals. The pedal offers selectable signal levels allowing interface directly to instruments; in amplifier effect loops; between a preamp and power amp, or to the recording system, mixing console, etc.

In contrast to most solid state compressors, the V-COMP has a sound and it is BRILLIANT! It adds classic tube warmth to the audio with subtle tube coloration and the smooth compression characteristics of legendary opto compressors. With the threshold control kept to a minimum (no compression) the unit can be used as a tube booster to add real tube character to digital and solid state systems.
