50 Blues Rhythms You Must Know DVD

This DVD is meant to help blues players expand their rhythm vocabulary. If you’ve ever joined a blues jam, the rhythm parts that you can do is quite limited to the typical blues progression, and because of this limitation, it can be quite repetitive. This DVD will help freshen up your blues jams by providing 50 blues rhythm ideas.

It also features 40 different rhythmic and chord voicing approaches for the 12-bar blues, all demonstrated by Corey Congilio in the same key for continuity purposes. These rhythm and voicing variations will help keep your blues jams more interesting, and it will give you a better understanding of blues song structures, which will indirectly result in better more thought out solos.

50 Jazz-Blues Licks You Must Know DVD

This guitar tutorial gets straight to the point and provides what eMedia describes as “the baddest, bopping-est, funkiest and bluesiest ways to navigate through any shuffle, boogaloo, minor blues or jazz-blues chord changes”. These licks will serve as great ammo for jams and for your own music.

David Hamburger, the DVD’s facilitator, will serve up funky licks from the ’50s and ’60s era. The 50 jazzed-up blues licks taught here are inspired by guitarists like Wes Montgomery, Grant Green and Kenny Burrell.

50 Bass Grooves You Must Know DVD

To cater to the needs bassists, eMedia and host David Santos brings some of the most memorable bass grooves as used on popular tracks by big name artists. The 50 bass grooves taught on this DVD were cherry-picked by David, featuring what he feels are the most versatile, potent and immortal bass lines of all time.

The artists that inspired these bass lines is a long list of talented artists including Crosby Stills & Nash, Billy Joel, Elton John, Phoebe Snow, The Neville Brothers, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffett, and many others. According to eMedia, these 50 bass grooves personify the music of James Brown, Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, Muddy Waters, Big Joe Turner, Fats Domino, The Meters, BB King, Aretha Franklin, Sly and The Family Stone, Booker T and The MG’s, and many others.

The three DVDs are expected to retail for under $25. These lessons expand eMedia’s Guitar Lab DVD Series, which now includes 21 titles made for guitarists and bassists of any skill level. The lessons come with PIP (Picture in Picture) video, a manual, standard notation, tab, power tab files, practice rhythm tracks, and other bonus materials.
