Shelley D. Park Guitars

Shelley D. Park builds guitars in the style of Mario Maccaferri and the Selmer Company of Paris, France. This style of instrument was initially brought into the limelight by the gypsy jazz legend Django Reinhardt, and since that time his unique style has been kept alive by guitarists the world over. Shelley’s instruments reflect her tremendous respect for the original designs combined with a comtemporary approach to lutherie.

    Dear Shelley,
I am an amateur luthier/player looking for plans for a Maccaferrie guitar, preferably the small hole. I want to make one for myself for the joy of it and also, because I can’t afford one. Also, where can I get a tailpiece? Any thing you can do to help will be greatly appreciated. Even an outline of the body would be a great help. I live in a tiny town and no models to copy. I would be willing to pay you for your trouble.
    Thanx,
    Luke
