David Gilmour is the best guitar player i’ve listen to. He’s the most creative and no one can play a guitar with the feeling that he puts in his fender. You have to listen Echoes, all the Crazy Diamond Piece and also Comfortably Numb.

What are you guys smoking? Naturally Page is good, but he’s seriously sloppy and puts out way to much shit. Too much shit sounds the same. Now Master Gilmour, that guy’s got flavor. Every album rules. Hands down Gilmour is king. Arguing simply shows you’ve got no idea what you’re talking about.

: . is it harder to play guitar or to know how to use all those effects?

ok first of all, the key to playing like david gilmour is NOT in the effects whatsoever. He is an absolute master of bending and vibrato, he has a ridiculous amount of control over his instrument. It is damn near impossible to sound like Gilmour, even if you have all the exact same gear as him. Listen to solos like the ones in "Mother" or the "Echoes" live version from Pompeii. The subtleties in his playing that makes it flow so beautifully are mind blowing. His tone simply complements it. Not to disrespect Jimmy Paige, he is an amazing playing who reshaped the face of Rock and ROll. However, i think it is ultimatly harder to play like Dave Gilmour than it is Paige. Gilmour is a god.

he who dies and has the most toys, wins. Gilmour has ‘The Strat’ the number 1, adonised scratchplate, and he has more hair too, but of course page is the better guitar player, but who cares about that, dave has all the gear.
