Marshall AVT settings

: I recently bought a marshall AVT150 and i can't seem to get a nice distortion sound out of it. I'm looking for a rock/metal distortion similar to nickleback or metallica if anyone can help i'd be very grateful thankyou

I own a AVT275 and downloaded many settings for other models, I'm a blues player so I don't know if this will help but here goes:

Metal Crunch OD 1 Channel

Humbucker style pickups

GAIN:4
BASS:5
MIDDLE:5
TREBLE:6

Single Coil Pickups

GAIN:5
BASS:6
MIDDLE:4
TREBLE:5

Trash OD 2 Channel

Humbucker style pickups

GAIN:10
BASS:10
MIDDLE:0
TREBLE:10

Single Coil Style Pickups

GAIN:10
BASS:10
MIDDLE:0
TREBLE:10

This should give you at least a good starting point.

I have had my Marshall AVT150 for since about August almost, and I find it to be a great amp. But what I use is on the OD is the gain-100, bass-7, middle-8, treble-10. I use that for stuff such as Bon Jovi style playing. Just give it a shot to see if you like it.

Hi. Am thinking about adding a humbucker on my Strat. Which one is best for this amp to get that "les paul" sound for Jimmy Page/Clapton-type blues?
