PLEASE give me advice on palm mute

Posted by Daffy on Fri, 12/08/00 - 23:44:32.

I can palm mute sitting down by putting my palm on the strings near
the bridge but I cant do it standing up. Now when I sit my palm stays
rested on the stings but when I look at pros it looks as though they
rest their palm on every singe chord, instead of leaving it there if you
know what I mean. Is this what I should do standing up ? Could
anyone give advice on easy palm muting (standing up)

Standing up and palm muting is easy. While you are playing, just slightly turn your hand towards the neck and rest the side of your palm (The meaty part) on the strings, just above the strings, and crunch away.
