Anyone care to top that with an intro for your band?
Slightly off-centre, but I was at a muso/journo party once; moaning about Melody Maker and its head-up-buttocks reviewers. "Let me give you an example", I blathered on to this rather attractive girl called Jane, "They described some poor eedjits as 'spunk-spurting sex goddesses' - I mean, who'd want to be saddled with that write-up? Probably be history next month anyway blahblah"
To which the rather attractive girl called Jane replied, "That was my band, My First Uzi, and they made us Record of the Week"

Ravishing looks I may have, but possibly a lousy memory. I think she might have been "Jill", the more I thunk. I got the band right, though. Quick search to see if her name came in. No joy, but their single is on FleebUK with a 49p BIN:

I won't pretend to be "I was right, MM were wrong" because the seller has had that CD for some ten years at least.
That's the only goss on My First Uzi I could find as well. What on earth happened to My First Uzi I ask. Comeback time? Time for a MFU fan club?
I did a google but all I got was sites relating to twelve year olds opening up their first uzi on xmas morning.
