restring a guitar....

i just restringed my guitar and i think i messed up my tune-omatic system and the heaviest strings have an annoying ''buzz'' sound when i play them.can anyone help me with it?i would be very gratefull!!

Did you re-string with the same gauge of strings as were on there previously?

i am nit sure but i know my previous strings were plain steel and so i bought the ''elixir plain steel strings''.does that matter?thanks for your interest by the way for my problem!

what kind of guitar is it? make / model??

If you put a different gauge set of strings on it, they could well have affected it.
