1934 national trojan steel guitar

I"m a construction worker who found an old trojan guitar in the attic of an old house last week. I don't know much about the guitar other than it was made between 1934 and 36. It needs new strings and head tuners. What could I expect to sell this for? It also has a riser on the front for sliding and I'm not sure it that was stock.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT sell it. Get it sorted and learn to play it!

Sounds to me like you had had a very lucky find, not unlike a Stradivarios violin. If you must sell it, take it to a reputable guitar shop or luthier first, spend some money on getting it fixed, or, check out Nationals' web-site to give you a flavour of the worth of this instrument.
Good luck!

Gordy.

Could anyone give me a ballpark estimate?
