Joan Sebastian Signature Epiphone Acoustics – Sonador & Triunfadora

One of Mexico’s most famous singer/songwriters is set to have his own signature series launched by Epiphone.

Whilst some might argue that there are many other deserving Mexican guitarists who could receive the honor of their own signature series, it’s impossible to argue with the success Joan Sebastian has had over a distinguished career in which he has won 3 Grammy Awards, 8 Latin Grammys, and has been inducted into the Billboard Hall of Fame.

His career is driven by three simple beliefs: faith, love, and luck, and each of these are represented by symbols on the headstock.

The designs are based on Gibson’s J-185 and are slightly smaller than a Super Jumbo.

Both have a solid Sitka Spruce top, solid Mahogany neck, and Rosewood bridges with mother-of-pearl horseshoe inlays.

The Triunfadora also has abalone neck inlays with the Cross, and comes with a custom leather strap.

BTW – Sonador means the Dreamer, and Triunfadora means the Achiever.

Price and delivery dates for the USA haven’t been announced yet, although I found the Sonador selling in Europe for €229 and the Triunfadora for €469. Details will be published as soon as they’re available at epiphone.com/JoanSebastian
