Ultrasound Amplifiers introduces the Ultrasound CP100 acoustic amplifier, a two-channel amp with built-in digital effects.
This two channel acoustic amplifier is designed to accommodate both microphones and acoustic instruments with independent controls for volume, treble and bass.
The CP100 is a portable acoustic amp that comes equipped with a single, custom made 8” coaxial speaker, a tweeter, 100 watts of power and built in digital effects. The CP100 is designed to provide mobile and transparent acoustic sound amplification.
The first channel is designed for microphones and instruments, it has a combo input to accommodate both MIC level (XLR) or instrument 1/4” signals. You can tweak the bass and treble frequencies via the control knobs. This is a basic channel where you can plug-in microphones or electronic instruments, singer-songwriters can also use this input for vocals.
Channel two comes with more features to accommodate sensitive instruments or more elaborate signal chains. This channel is what makes the CP100 an amp specific to acoustic instruments, ideal for acoustic guitars, mandolins, fiddles and similar instruments. This channel features a Shape on/off switch for controlling the mids and a nifty Notch Filter for enhancing the dynamics of the sound - these two controls give you better control over the acoustic tone of your guitar. Like the first channel, this one has a dual input port for connecting XLR and 1/4" jacks, and it comes with basic bass and treble controls.
The master section of the amp houses the Master volume control and a section for controlling and applying digital effects to your sound. A 3 way toggle switch is provided so you can assign the effect on each channel or on both simultaneously. A rotary encoder knob serves as the effects mode controller, which you can use to select from sixteen available digital effects. An effect level knob is also provided for adjusting the amount of digital effects mixed in to the guitar signal from 0% to 50%.
Other features of the amp include an effects footswitch input, effects send unbalanced output, effect return 1/4" input, a direct out, a line out, and a tape/CD RCA input with its own level control.
