60th Anniversary Classic Vibe '50s Stratocaster

This affordable Strat comes with a premium look featuring gold hardware that matches its elegant Aztec gold finish.

As part of the Classic Vibe series, the guitar features vintage looks and sound, based on the ’50s era where the Strat was first released. It follows the standard Stratocaster design that has remained virtually unchanged up to this day.

The double cutaway body is made of alder, wrapped in an elegant looking Aztec Gold gloss polyester finish. The neck and fretboard is made of maple, carved into a modern C profile. Scale length is 25.5″, fingerboard radius is 9.5″ and the nut radius is 1.65″. Squier equipped the guitar with 21 medium jumbo frets.

Giving this guitar its voice are three Custom Vintage-Style Single-Coil pickups. It is wired in traditional SSS configuration with a 5-way pickup selector, a master volume knob, and two tone knobs for adjusting the tone of the neck and middle pickups. Aged white plastic parts were used for the knobs and switch tip, to give the guitar the impression of age.

Further adding to the guitar’s elegant appeal are classic looking gold hardware. This includes the vintage-style tuners and the 6-saddle synchronized tremolo. Other features include vintage-style strap buttons, single “wing” string tee, 3-ply parchment pickguard and a laser engraved “1954-2014”, 60 Years anniversary neckplate.

The guitar is expected to ship at the end of February, but it is now available for preorder with a price tag of around $605. You can visit Fender for more information.
