Fret-King Black Label Guitars at Musikmesse 2013

Distributor JHS unveils a host of new Fret-King Black Label guitars at the 2013 Musikmesse Trade Show, alongside designer Trev Wilkinson.

They will also display brand new pair of of Trev’s one-off, hand-built Fret-King Stvdio instruments – a matching Country Squire guitar and bass.

On display in Europe for the first time are four models of the Fret-King Esprit and the offset Ventura. The Esprit bass series will showcase the new Wilkinson Platinum Series pickups, and three different six string instruments, with a choice of one stacked P90, two humbuckers or three stacked P90 pickups.

The Country Squires series are also on display, including the Country Squire Semitone De Luxe and the ash green Country Squire Semitone Special FKV21SAGB. Also on show are new finish options for the established Country Squire Classic and Semitone models.

A new instrument that is based on a collaboration between Trev Wilkinson and Gregg Wright (Michael Jackson’s former guitarist) will also be highlighted at the Fret-King stand. Gregg’s artist model features a double cutaway body with a red and white Japanese flag-style design equipped with two single coils and a stacked bridge P90. The John Verity Artist model Corona JV will also be among the instruments on show.

Vintage brand guitars also present at the JHS booth, including the ReIssued and Icon electric gutiar lines, along with acoustic guitars and basses. Notable models include a Graham Oliver signature electric, based on the founding Saxon guitarist’s long-time staple instrument and a Deluxe version of the Gordon Giltrap signature acoustic model. Another guitar that is expected to be a head turner at the booth is the Vintage ICON V52MRBS.

The JHS booth will also feature other brands, from the Encore line of electrics through to the classic tones of Santos Martinez and the folk instruments of Pilgrim by Vintage and Laka by Vintage. The booth will also feature the quirky SpongeBob SquarePants Real Musical Instruments line. Finally, guitar guru Trev Wilkinson will be on hand to talk about his latest creations and offer his industry advice to attendees of the 2013 Musicmesse trade show. The JHS booth is at Hall 4.0 H10.
