 Chesapeake Severn Tier 1

The winner will receive one of Knagg's finest guitars, featuring upgraded pickups and aged Scotch finish, valued at $7300 .

The contest will run through September 30, and is open worldwide to guitarists aged 16 and above. To join, all you have to do is like the Facebook pages of Knagg Guitars and Seymour Duncan, and provide your e-mail address. A lucky winner will be selected via electronic raffle from among those that joined and will receive the upgraded boutique guitar.

The Chesapeake Series Severn Tier 1 guitar comes with a double-cutaway alder body with unique beveled edges. It has a sapele top and a maple cap which gives the guitar a very exotic and yet elegant look.

It comes with a figured rock maple set-neck, with cocobolo wood used as the guitar's 22-fret fingerboard. It has a scale length of 25.5" and a fretboard radius of 8.5". Eye candies on the neck include abalone diamonds and an abalone chesapeake work boat inlay at the 12th fret.

The guitar's distinctively shaped wenge pickguard also adds to the instrument's air of elegance, featuring abalone and green snail purfling. Other features include Knagg's proprietary solid steel bridge plate/hinge tremolo and Inline Kluson style tuners.

Seymour Duncan joins in by equipping the guitar with three Antiquity Texas Hot pickups, described as "producing a nice vintage smokey tone well suited to rock and blues." These are handwound pickups that mimic the ones found on vintage Strats, featuring magnets that are calibrated and the coils that are wound "top going" with "north" magnetic polarity, in the same way as vintage pickups.
