In celebration of Jimi Hendrix’s coming birthday, Experience Hendrix released the fully interactive Jimi Hendrix: The Complete Experience App.
Jimi Hendrix was just recently voted as the Greatest Guitar Player of All Time and now, we will be seeing more of Hendrix with the release of this new iOS app dedicated to his legacy.
The Jimi Hendrix: The Complete Experience is a virtual backstage pass for fans to learn and explore the life, career and music of Jimi Hendrix. This app will help you understand better why and how Hendrix changed the music world and inspired generations of fans and musicians. It will let you immerse yourself in the works and life of Jimi Hendrix via a number of ways – including pictures, audio, video, historical maps, stories and many more.
You will get to explore the interactive chapters of Jimi’s legacy with accompanying text, videos and images. The app will be getting updates in the future as it builds up a detailed story telling of Jimi Hendrix’s legendary life and career. The app will also give you access to a wide range of Jimi Hendrix Filmography, including documentaries, live performances, and other films about Hendrix which you can optionally download from iTunes. You can also check out his music videos and film excerpts within the app.
The Jimi Hendrix: The Complete Experience app will let you flip through the full collection of Jimi Hendrix’s albums. You will be able to play the songs that you own or you can sample songs that you do not yet have. The app will also help you purchase the Jimi Hendrix tracks that you do not yet have.
Your iPad or iPhone will also be housing a number of Jimi Hendrix photos which are highlighted throughout the application. You can then play with the photos – toss them around, pick them, rotate, resize and maximize.
With the help of iOS connectivity, you can easily stream your Jimi Hendrix content to your other Apple devices. And it also has social networking built in, giving you the ability to instantly share events or music through Twitter and Facebook.
Another fun feature of the app is its ability to locate key places that are significant to Hendrix. The app will let you know if you are near an important Jimi Hendrix landmark and will give you a virtual stamp when you visit the venues listed by the app.
