JamUp Multi Effects Guitar App Update

Positive Grid updates JamUp Multi Effects, their flagship guitar and bass iOS app, with three new expansion packs and other extra features.

JamUp XT

Three New Expansion Packs are Vintage Effects, Acoustic Pro and Gurus Amps. The update also include Bias app integration with a free customizable amp, new preset manager, improved GUI and a new JamUp Store.

JamUp XT and the commercial version JamUp Pro XT are now updated to version 3.5.0. The app continues to provide guitar and bass players with the amp and effects tones that they need right inside their iPhone or iPad. Recreation of vintage effects are quite common in the digital modeling world, but the Acoustic Pro expansion pack that brings with it acoustic modeling is quite special. The team up with Guru Amp is also something to look forward for in this update.

Positive Grid Marketing Manager Jaime Ruchman said, “New JamUp is the celebration of three years since the original JamUp hit the market, so we created a full blown new version. Musicians can now revive the classic tone and feel of vintage amps and effects, and this time we were able to collaborate with Gurus Amps to create unique sounding amp tones. New JamUp proves how easy, professional, and fun it can be when integrated as an endless platform.”

Vintage Effects Expansion Pack

This new expansion pack features 8 models of classic guitar pedals that helped shape the sound of the guitar as we know it. The company said that they selected the pedals based on sound, innovation, inspiration and sheer popularity. Included in this expansion pack are models based on Dallas Rangemaster Treble Booster, Electro Harmonix Small Clone, Big Muff, Knockout Attack EQ, Boss DM-2 Analog Delay, Voodoo Labs Vibe, Fulltone OCD Overdrive and Demeter Tremulator Tremolo.

Acoustic Expansion Pack

This expansion pack showcases Positive Grid’s unique acoustic imaging technology, which is said to restore studio-miked acoustic sounds to undersaddle and soundhole pickups. Making it even more interesting is the new “Acoustic Simulator”, which transforms the sound of your electric guitar into modeled acoustic tone. The included models are: Acoustic Imaging, Acoustic Pro Simulator, Acoustic EQ and Acoustic Reverb. According to the company, “this is the complete acoustic tone solution for both acoustic and electric guitar players.”

Gurus Amp Expansion Pack

Positive Grid explained why they collaborated with Gurus Amps, “this Italian company made the World’s first Tube Amplifiers specifically designed for live use of external digital devices running emulation software. Thanks to their innovative iChannel, Gurus Amps can express the best of both worlds, analog and digital together.” This partnership resulted in 3 new amp models based on the Gurus Naked amplifier’s Sexy, Crunch and Lead Channel.

In addition to these three expansion packs, JamUp now comes with Positive Grid’s innovative Bias app. This will give you a working preview of what the Bias can do inside JamUp. Full customization is now also possible when you have the Bias app installed.

Finally, this major update features a redesigned graphical interface with a new intuitive preset manager to order, edit and delete presets. Direct integration to Dropbox allows players to conveniently backup presets.

This update is available for both the free version JamUp XT, and the commercial version JamUp Pro XT which is available for $19.99. For more information and to download the updated app, visit Positive Grid.
