Joe Pass what a guitar monster – isn’t it amazing how some people are so gifted they can take an instrument to places most never dream of – he is one of those greats for sure. I read a quote by him that was really encouraging though, something to the effect that somedays when he picks up the guitar it wins! I can relate and it made me feel better in some odd way.

hey Tim, i agree, there was some shrillness or for lack of a better term ‘high end’ tones I didn’t care for. I didn’t notice so much when recording so it could be to some extent in the recording. I was using the darker PU with the tone rolled off a bit so I suspect any setup difference was the tone settings on the amp.
