Velma bruno

i have an old guitar that belonged to my uncle who passed away well before i was born. im not sure what kind of guitar it is but a plate on the front reads Velma in big letters and bruno in smaller letters underneath. i know it was made in japan and i know it is at least 30yrs old. i have tried to research it and was directed to this site so i am just wandering if any body has hheard of a Velma bruno.
