Yeah fellows!!! That's right!!! We've gotta follow Stu's example if we wanna someday to be somebody in the bass player world!!! Two-handed tapping technique is all we've gotta practice! I'm from Brazil and am a two-hands lover myself!!! There is just too many songs from Stuart that we can point out in order to bring this strange technique in issue here! Try that contry one out!!!!!!! See ja!

Tracy, you are so incredibly naive, Nick, don't worry, Moonlight Sonata can be played perfectly on a 4 string bass, as long as you have your two-handed tapping technique going. Anyone who dares to contradict me need only look as far the the Joe Satriani:Live in San Francisco DVD, where Stu Hamm plays it brilliantly, funnily enough, I'm also looking for the tab.

Re: im looking for moonlight sonata bass tab

actually beethoven's moonlight sonata was written for piano I believe, but there's no way in hell a bass guitar is going to do moonlight sonata any justice at all. silly idea

Re: im looking for moonlight sonata bass tab

hmm...either way you look at this question it's a silly question...sorry, you will not find tablature of moonlight sonata on bass guitar because it cannot be played on bass; it's impossible, and whatever you do manage to play on the bass, regardless of how perfectly you execute notes, it will be nothing like and will sound nothing like moonlight sonata. that is a 6 string acoustic piece of music. if youre talking about the bass line notes for guitar tab, the treble and bass notes are all played together at the same time, there is no sense in learning them seperately as you have to learn to play them together anyway. it's not like there are 2 guitar players, at least not on any version i have ever heard and ive heard several. but even if there is a version like that, thats not how moonlight sonata is intended to be played anyway, and beesides, wouldnt you rather know the entire song rather than parts of it? it would be easier to learn them all together

Moonlight Sonata bass tab

Sorry to disagree with you Tracy but you CAN play moonlight sonata on the bass guitar. You tap the notes with both your left and right hand fingures. It's difficult I know but it isn't possible (I can do it!!). Check out Stu Hamm's version of it on his debut album. You won't find the tab for this on the internet I'm afraid so you'll just have to do what I did, get the standard notation and transcribe it yourself. It is very rewarding to play for a live audience too. Tracy - Nothing is impossible to play if you try hard enough...

E. jones, you took the words right outta my mouth. I have been looking for this tab also, but alas, it seems I must find the notation and work from there. Stu Hamm's version is unbelievable, BTW.
