Dear Jeff, I wrote you about 2 years ago, and You were very helpful.
I asked about improvisation, well 2 years later I've grown in leaps and bounds, but now my question is about Yngwie Malmsteen, I've had to learn a couple of his songs for my band www.chromasonicnature.com even tho' we did'nt record them. I've found his arpeggios and sweeps and harmonic minor runs difficult to say the least and I believe (a diminished phrgian) . my question now is how many damn pedal tones can there be in on 1 key? and what are melodic sequences for and why should I learn them? I've been playing for 24 years and I'm generally considered a virtuoso but This dude is killing me. Please give me some advice like you did last time. I have the speed and the sweeps and I am a very good classical guitar player so I can hear the moves. Please teach me more pedal tones. And whatever you think I should practice next .Signed your admirer John Moffett

Session player Jeff Fiorentino has an awesome site here. He is one the best players I've heard in a long long time. There is a riff of the month to try out and a lesson page. Great site worth checking out. Fantastic.
