Vox Amps announces the Black Diamond Modeling Combo Amp

The new BLACK DIAMOND modeling combo is the diamond of VOX’s tube modeling amplifier technology. The BLACK DIAMOND is the culmination of VOX’s 50-plus-year legacy of fine amplifier design combined with the latest next-generation modeling technologies. The boasts 200W of power (100W + 100W stereo), making it the top of the Valvetronix series in every way --- sound, power, playability, modeling precision and accuracy.

- The flagship model of the Valvetronix series, the perfect union of real tube power and cutting-edge modeling technology.

- VOX Valve Reactor circuit with a 12AX7 vacuum tube delivers the distinctive sound, playability and feel of real tube power.

- 32 different amp models use sophisticated modeling technology to simulate some of the most sought after amps in the world, including vintage amps of yester-year to expensive high-end tube amps.

- 25 types (76 models) of effects, boasting quality comparable to stand-alone and studio effects processors.

- Two pedal effects can be placed before the amp model. Pedal Effect 1 lets you choose from three types (nine models): comp, wah, and pickup simulator. Pedal Effect 2 gives you a selection of eleven types (29 models) of distortion and spatial effects.

- Modulation (5 types, 20 models), delay (3 types, 12 models), reverb (3 types, 6 models), and noise reduction are provided in the last stage of the preamp.

- You can create and store up to 128 programs using the amp models and up to six effect models simultaneously. 64 preset programs are provided to get you started.

- A digital power amp is used for its excellent energy conversion ratio. In a first for its class, the amp boasts a 200W output.

- Newly designed original Neo Dog 150W speakers made by the Celestion Corporation are used to handle the high output power.

- VariAmp circuit provides a power level control that adjusts the volume without impairing the sound. The power level can be set independently for each program.

- An external speaker out jack lets you connect your favorite speaker cabinet (8 ohms).

- Effect send/return jacks let you program an external effect loop.

- Manual mode makes the settings of the amp section reflect the physical position of the knobs.

- Auto Chromatic Tuner with strobe-type operation.

- MIDI IN/OUT connector allows an external MIDI device or computer to be connected for bi-directional control.

- Front panel boasts a VOX logo that is illuminated in various ways according to the input signal level and the program settings. This illuminated logo mode may also be set to work as a highly visible LED tuner.

- Dedicated editor/librarian software "BLACK DIAMOND Sound Editor" is provided, letting you edit parameters and save programs quickly and easility on your PC.

- An optional VC-12SV foot controller lets you control the BLACK DIAMOND's versatile functionality with your feet.
