Gibson's 50th Anniversary line unveiled

Looks like Gibson's Custom Shop brand is apparently releasing its 50th Anniversary line. The line includes the Korina Explorer, ES-335, LP Figured - Aged and the Kornia Plying V. At the moment the information on the site doesnt include the pricing or availability. It seems that these arent reissue models but they do include some of the features that made these models a huge sucess back in 1958.

Musicgadgets.com says:

The first group (with the Explorer and the Fying V) share korina body and neck, rounded neck profile, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, 24.75″ scale length, ABR-1 bridge, BurstBucker 1 and 2 humbucker pickups, 3-way pickup switch and 2 volume 1 tone controls. While the specific features of the 2008 ‘58 Explorer Guitar are solid body and lightweight aluminum stopbar tailpiece; and the specific features of the 2008 ‘58 Flying V Guitar are 2-pieces body and string-through-body tailpiece.

The shared features of the second group are maple top, 1-piece mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, 24.75″ scale length, 3-way pickup switch and 2 volume and 2 tone controls. What abut L5s 0r Super 400s annn. modles?

I purchased/traded up for both the '58 335 & the Murrphy Aged LP. Both are quite incredible!

I think that burstbucker 1 and 2 are one of the best non boutique pickups out there. I only wish the burstbucker 1 was easier to get. http://www.officialguitarbuyersguide.com/?p=88
