EMG Metal Works
EMG introduces Metal Works, 6 custom pickup covers that come in various finishes, colors and designs.
These covers provide aesthetic options for EMG pickup owners, to make their favorite pickup match their instrument and personality .
The unassuming black EMG pickup continues to gain ground in hard rock and metal music, they have become a common fixture on guitars that require high output.
However, the increased popularity made the black color scheme monotonous, this prompted EMG to create custom caps for their popular pickups.
To finally break the monotony, EMG expanded on their custom pickup cover concept and came up with 6 different stainless steel cap options: Chrome, Brushed Chrome, Black Chrome, Brushed Black Chrome, Gold, and Brushed Gold. With the Metal Works pickup covers, you can now personalize your EMG pickup to match the your guitars better.
These designs offer players as well as guitar manufacturers EMG approved cap options for any of EMG’s popular humbucking pickups. Even the 7 & 8 string humbucking pickups have custom caps available.
Rob Turner, Founder and President of EMG, commented: "We’ve used custom caps for players and guitar makers over the last 10 years, so it just made sense to offer the options to everyone and Metal Works is the result.”
To jump start the launch of the Metal Works series, EMG worked with Zakk Wylde to create three limited Metal Works sets with laser etched images of Zakk’s famous “Bullseye”, “Buzzsaw”, and “Vertigo” images. These are the same designes used on Zakk's signature Gibson and Epiphone guitars.
Each Metal Works package includes: EMG's exclusive Solderless Install System, split shaft volume/tone control set, output jack, battery clip set, screws & springs. The EMG Metal Works series is expected to be available this month, with a price range of $179.99 to $369.99. For more information, you can visit EMG Pickups.
