Applied Acoustics Systems releases new Acoustic Guitar Software
Applied Acoustics Systems has released Strum Acoustic GS-1, a new acoustic guitar software synthesizer which brings a fresh solution to music producers and composers for the creation of acoustic guitar tracks.
Based on the latest AAS physical modeling technology, Strum ships with an impressive collection of steel and nylon acoustic guitars. It includes an elaborate voicing module which automatically voices chords played on the keyboard as a guitar player would on the fretboard. Strumming and picking actions are reproduced by an auto-strum function, special strumming keys, or MIDI loops. An EQ, a multi-effect, and a reverb module complete the package.
"Strum is the keyboardist's perfect solution for creating great sounding acoustic guitar tracks," said Marc-Pierre Verge, CEO of AAS, "Our physical modeling approach not only allows one to find the right sound but also to easily and efficiently reproduce on a keyboard, a wide range of left and right hand playing techniques."
Strum Acoustic GS-1 is available now at a suggested retail price of US$229. Strum Acoustics GS-1 runs on both Mac OS X and Windows as a standalone application as well as in host sequencers supporting the VST, Audio Units, and RTAS plug-in formats.
