If you have been wishing for a Trem or Whammy bar for your Gibson or Gibson Fixed Bridge type guitar, you are in luck! And if you don’t want to put additional holes in your guitar you are doubly lucky. Vintage Guitar has reviewed the Stetsbar to acclaim; stating that it’s great to see a product that lives up to it’s manufacturers claims. Go to www.stetsbar.com to see the Tremolo that gives you: extended range, super-smooth action, perfect intonation, and requires no modifications to your guitar. See what all the hooting and hollering is about.

I would like a Golden Stetsbar for a Les Paul.
I live in Hong Kong.
How much would it cost for the Stetsbar and shipping altogether
Anyone had experience fittinh the Stetsbar to a LP?
I’ve just had my luthier install one to my LP…and he can get the bridge saddle far back enough to intonate it properly (approx 5 cent out )….also he said it isn’t returning to tune after any type of trem use !!!!…That is a MAJOR bumber…especially considering how much I’ve spent so far ( even put a new graphit nut too )..!!!
Yes I have and I have moved it from Les Paul to Les Paul as well as My 61 SG Les Paul and even my Epiphone Les Paup Plus top 6 differentt Guitars one Stetsbar no modifications stock Nuts only had to dress two of them not change them and striate up Grover tuners you can hear them on Reverbnation / Joseph Sanita . 90 % of my Whammyy Bar Work is done with that Bridge No intonate problems or tuning failures
This just in: I talked to Eric Stets, the man himself, and he mentioned that Gibson had a shorter backset on some of their guitars, so he’s sending me another unit with the right backset, so that should fix the intonation problem while allowing me to set the spring tension properly. He said the spring tension is likely the reason mine won’t return to pitch after using the bar. I’m hoping he’s right because this is really a sweet unit, it operates smooth and looks great, but I can’t use it if it won’t stay in tune. I’ll post a follow up next week after I install the replacement unit.

I’ve just had a stetsbar installed on my CS356. I wanted a trem unit, but can’t see drilling holes in a $3700 guitar. Well, it ain’t working out. I’m having the same problem. The tech who installed mine had to mill about 1/8" off the bottom of the bridge to get the action lowered. Since that didn’t lower it enough, he filed the notches on the bridge saddles to lower the strings even more and at least got the action right. Still, it simply will NOT stay in tune, the intonation can’t be set properly. We’ve gone as far as we can on this install and it has been a failure. I talked to Mr. Stets and he was really nice about it and said it wouldn’t ruin the warranty, but I spent $100 for the install and can’t get that back. Oh well, live and learn. Apparently it just doesn’t work on every install, though I’ve read a lot of great reviews about it. I’ve heard they’re perfect for Telecasters though, so I may ask him about a trade and install it on my Tele. I want a whammy on at least one of my guitars.
