I just bought a Contessa model HG 05, serial number 7667 with a label that says Contessa but not Honer. I’m wondering when Honer came into the picture. It’s aim absolutely beautiful condition and I got it for a “song”. $40.00
Just kinda wondering if anyone has any idea of what it might be worth.

I have a Contessa HG-05 nylon string made in Italy, Ser. # 6927, bought 2nd hand in San Francisco in 1981. Because it has position dots on fretboard, a truss rod and the heel shape of a steel string guitar, it’s not a true classical guitar shape, though the neck width, head stock bridge and and tuners fit the classical guitar mold. Scale length is 640mm, which is shared by some classical guitar through the majority tend to be 650 (just 2mm over a very common 25.5″ scale length for Fender electrics)

I received a Contessa Guitar from my grandfather who had owned it for Iam guessing quiet a few years. I too have been interested on finding some information about the guitar. It is stamped Made in Italy. The model # is HG 0I. If anyone has any information about the guitar I would very much appreciate it if you would contact me. Thanks!

A friend of mine just got a 3/4 Contessa, model number Hg-05 and serial number 11756. It’s labeled for both Contessa and M. Hohner, and it’s a classical acoustic, briged for nylons. I’m trying to find some information on it for him, but I haven’t found much… if you’ve found anything, could you email me? I’ll email you as well if I find any information.

I have a Contessa HG-200, Serial # 1075 that I purchased in 1972 for $225.00. I also have the custom case that was made for it. This has been an excellent guitar which has a great sound. I purchased it at the time because it played so well, and now better than ever. Outside of that I have not been able to find any info on these guitars. Terry
