    Having a little trouble with Keys Like the key of "A" May this contain A "C#" and A "C"and Like A "C" Whole Tone C D C F# G# A# C Would we start Looking at that in a minor key. And Can you think of a song that might be a good example of the key. Also While I am learning my scales and try to build chords the like EF and BC are 1/2 are whole steps. And the Scale oh say play Chords in key of "D" With a scale Solo Played with a Sharp "G#" That would probably move the key to the key of "A" regardless of The "D" Progession.

          dude, just start learning with tabs. i use olga.net for tabs. also, learn the basic chords (major and minor) and practice switching from one to another. cheers

    hi i’ve just started 2 learn guitar and i am pretty familiar with it but i want to play in a heavy metal band em and my friends r making, so what do i need to make my guitar sound heavy like the ones in heavy metal bands like slipknot, etc… and how do i play heavy metal?

      /////——-try playing ind drop d for that type of music. try to learn a slipknot song by tablature or any heavy metal song. still, you can play heavy metal in E tuning such as things like megadeth, metallica,and mecyful fate. give it a shot. good luck.

        X guitarist makes me fast with both hands. Started bass a few years ago and never looked back. Need more theory. I feel I play well but most of it is feel. Smooth rock or original pop and slap.

        Yeah, me too. I would think it wouldn’t be too hard for someone with a little experence under their belt to list a few songs that they think would be easy enough for a beginner… Oh well.

      I just learned lead guitar and I can play hendrix songs!
      Thats a braging right no lie! The secrit of being a lead guitarist is soo simple. Spend acouple of months learning scales what style do you want to play? I learned blues
      Thats what jimmy Hendrix plays chicks love it for some reason the great part is I dont know what Im doing I just play scales up and down and change keys and throw in some bends and jack. The blues scale is Pentatonic just look up pentatonic scale and check out slowhand blues web site! You can download a whole blues lesson for free! Rock on Brotha!
      Oh if you can get jimmy hendrix scales man could he kill!

          The chords of the Sade-song Smooth Operator are simple. In most of the song you play a repeating patern: Dm/Am7/Gm7/Am7. Only in the bridgeparts that start with No place and with A license you play Gm7/Am7/Dm6, Gm7/Am7/Dm9, Gm7/Am7/Dm. The lyrics can be found on http://www.members.nbci.com and various other Sade-sites.       Get the tape or the CD and listen to it good, Learn to pick out the notes and sounds of the guitar then you will not be limited to tab,,,lol
