Custom acoustics by McIlroy Guitars now exporting worldwide

Here's a nice story of a small guitar company expanding world wide. Nothern Ireland based McIlroy Guitars is now exporting their made-to-spec acoustics to Japan, Europe and Australia.

Success seems to have stemmed from an appearance at the Frankfurt Music Show in March and interest from Italian fingerstyle guitarists Franco Morone, Davide Mastrangelo and Gabriele Possenti.

McIlroy Guitars says each of our guitars are individually handcrafted to the customer's specifications, using solid timbers of the finest quality.

'Growth had to be carefully managed as guitars of this quality cannot be rapidly mass produced.'

Perth's Acoustic Inn guitar store says Dermot McIlroy has succeeded in producing a truly unique, rich, airy tone that we find among the most appealing of any guitars they've played.

'The balance and sustain on these guitars is nothing short of remarkable. Dermot clearly loves to craft gorgeous guitars, and he doesn't cut corners when it comes to selecting great back and side sets.'
