D’Addario Nylon Tapewound Bass Strings are designed to produce a deep, warm tone while providing a smooth, comfortable feel. D’Addario Tapewound Bass strings are wound using a flattened black nylon which is polished to an ultra-smooth finish. These long-lasting, well-balanced strings are expertly engineered to provide optimal tension and are gauged to fit properly on standard bass saddles and nuts. Tapewounds may be used on fretted or fretless basses and are designed to deliver a vintage tone ranging from the “thump” of an upright bass to the focused depth of traditional flatwound strings.
D’Addario announces two additional SKUs to this successful family of strings: ETB92S Nylon Tapewound Short Scale Bass set and the ETB92-5 Nylon Tapewound Long Scale 5-string set. D’Addario’s Nylon Tapewound Bass Strings will retail for $62.00 for the Short Scale Bass set and for $82.85 for the Long Scale 5-string set.
D’Addario XL Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Strings are world-renowned as “The Player’s Choice” amongst players of all genres and styles. XLs are precision-wound with nickelplated steel on a hex-shaped core, resulting in strings with a distinctive bright tone and excellent intonation.
D’Addario is pleased to launch convenient 3-packs and 10-packs for favorite models. EXL140 Electric Guitar XL Light Top/Heavy Bottom (gauges .010 – .052) will now be available as both a 3-pack and a 10-pack. D’Addario’s EXL125 XL Super Light Bottom/Regular Top (gauges .009 – .046) will now be available in a handy 10-pack. EXL140-3D will retail for $26.45, with EXL140-10P to retail at $84.20, and EXL125-10P to retail for $76.50.
Created to support the growing popularity of the 8-string electric guitar market, EXL140-8 XL Light Top Heavy Bottom (gauges .010 – .074) are also being launched. Gauged properly for tuning to F#, B, E, A, D, G, B, E, this new string set will retail for $18.40.
D’Addario’s EXP 80/20 Acoustic Strings utilize a micro-fine layer of coating which is bonded to the 80/20 bronze wrap wire that is then wound onto the hex-shaped core wire. The result is a built-in barrier against the corrosion and wear that can quickly sap the life out of your strings and your sound. EXP strings have a natural round wound feel and extra-bright tone that lasts three to four times longer than traditional guitar strings. EXPs are the longest lasting, most natural sounding coated strings one can buy.
D’Addario announces the release of this popular Bluegrass-gauged set to our EXP coated 80/20 Bronze family. Already the choice of Paul Reed Smith acoustic guitars, EXP14 Acoustic 80/20 Bronze Light Top/Medium Bottom Bluegrass Set (gauges .012-.056) will retail for $21.20.
