Australian maker of acoustic guitars and bouzoukis.
Dan Dubowski is a self taught maker of fine quality, unique acoustic guitars and Irish bouzoukis. Working from a home based workshop in the southern N.S.W. town of Batlow, Dan currently builds 14-20 instruments per year.
Each instrument is handmade using the finest quality timbers chosen from a small select range. When selecting each piece of timber, careful consideration is given to resonating characteristics, strength and wearing properties as well as a unique and spectacular appearance.
All work is carried out in a humidity controlled environment.
When commissioning each instrument, Dan considers an uncompromising level of playability and a high quality, rich, balanced tone as the two factors of utmost importance. A great deal of emphasis is also placed on creating a ‘one of a kind’, unique and individual instrument of high level workmanship.
