I have owned a Ventura V-14 since early 1978 and it plays just as good today as it did when my father bought it for me new, I would never think of getting rid of this guitar as it sounds and plays wonderful.
Hi,
I have a pretty old Ventura v-14 and it is in mint condition…..it is a beautiful guitar…..I haven’t played it in a very long time but just decided to get back into it….
An old boyfriend gave it to me for Christmas back in the 70’s….Holy crap, I guess both the guitar and I are almost vintage!!!
I was just wondering what it might be worth these days…..not that I want to let it go….just wondering….I does have a really great sound for sure….
nice talking to you…..Q
Sue,
Do you still have this Ventura V14 and do you want to sell it?
Thanks,
Wayne
Anybody out there who knows how much does a ventura v 14 cost?
I got one also and I saw one on Ebay for $400.00 just today .
I just bought an v13 at an auction for $60. But the guitar has a 3/4" by 1 1/2" cutout between the bridge and the pick guard. Why would someone make that type of cut?

: I recently bought a Ventura V35S, which is a copy of a Gibson Dove in red sunburst. I absolutely love this guitar, it is a LOUD, very warm & rich sounding acoustic, & it is a beautiful copy of a Dove guitar. Also I bought this past week a Ventura V14, essentially a Martin D-28 copy. Anyone out there have a V14 ? I have not received mine yet, it is in shipment but just wondered if anyone else has a V14 or V235S, I would like to hear your opinion. These guitars will probably never be worth very much, most imports are not highly valued, but the Ventura guitars I have personally played & own have all been excellent sounding & playing instruments & they are also nicely crafted, beautiful instruments. I have picked up some big name guitars like Martin & Gibson & played them & they sounded like crap. Just because a guitar has a famous name doesn’t always mean it is going to sound good. There are plenty of big name guitars out there that sound crappy. I buy for TONE, playability & looks. The vintage Venturas are some of the best acoustics around with all these qualities.
I have v-14 I bought about 12 years ago at a pawn shop for $100.00 with case. I accidentally ran over it and broke the neck at the second fret, It did not break the fretboard so I glued it back and it is still the sweetest sounding and playing guitar Ive played and I recently bought an $800.00 Seagull artist series and the ventura sounds much better. I’m sure you have yours by now, let me know how it plays. Kevin ( [email protected] )

I own a V14 Ventura. I have had it since I was 13 years old. I bought it used in Arkansas City, Kansas, in 1970.
I can tell you that it has been a wonderful guitar over the years. Many, many, campfires. Tone is loud, and amazing to this day. Still one of my favorite guitars to play, I just don’t use it on stage. Made in Japan, it has to come real close to sounding, and playing, as well as any Martin D28. I will never get rid of it, tis my old friend!
I bought a Ventura V-14 in 1976 and it was about $275.00 back then. It was on the rack with other guitars like Gibson and Martin. I reached for the brand names and played them, then picked up this V-14 and played it and I loved the sound. I bought it because it sounded better than the other guitars I played. Back then a lot of my friends were playing Epiphones,Yamahas and Gibsons. I almost went with a brand name, but chose wisely. I recently was in a recording studio, working on a song and the producer asked me if I was playing a Taylor!
hey, i know this is a while after the original…but i also have a v-14. i actually stumbled upon your post while trying to look up a value for it. i personally love it. i bought it off a neighbor for $90 which is way less than it’s worth i’m sure. i would love to find out more about this guitar too, but it’s not easy…heh. but anyway, i think it’s a great guitar.
I bought a Ventura Martin dreadnaught copy back in ’77, brand new. It is a GREAT guitar, sounds as good as many (but not all) Martins I’ve played. I will NEVER sell it. It has a solid top, Brazilian roswood fretboard, and Abalone inlay. When I had a pickup installed in ’97, the luthier tried to buy it off me for $300 -that means it’s probably worth a lot more. I have played a Ventura 12 string that didn’t sound good, so not all Venturas are not great.
I am searching for more information on my V-14.
My serial number is 20179.
Does that indicate when it was made?
Thank you in advance if you have info.
mine came from my uncle. there are some features that i think have been mofified. does anyone have a picture of one. mine does not have pegs to hold the strings and the nut at the head stock looks a little strange.
Yo! fun…
i like it 🙂

1968 Catalog shows the V-14 with Simulated Wood grain Pick Guard and interior label doesn’t discuss country of origin.
the 70’s models have a different pick guard and the interior label shows “Designed in the USA” Crafted in Japan”
the 1968 catalog says ” made with that American Sound..
Probably manufactured by “Matsumoku” (Aria) by contract by C. Bruno and Sons or possibly by Kasuga in Japan (Tokai) but definitely not by Fuji-Gen-Gakki (Ibanez) …….
The V-14 is a copy of Martin’s D14…

They can be found in perfect condition under $600 and in Needs TLC condition for $250-$400

To get the same sound and quality in a guitar today, you would need to buy and american made solid wood guitar….

i also have a ventura bruno v-14 know nothing about it but would like to know wht its worth …someone wants to buy it .it is model # 48610…the neck on it looks like it was cracked but they repaired it tho u can easily tell…any info would help…thanks
I have had two Brunos- the first had been taken in trade by my dad for auto repair services. in the early 60’s, I worked in a shop that finished gun stocks and forearms, so I put a nice walnut finish on it. I carried it around in my 59 Volvo P-544 and unfortunately had it stolen. In the 80’s I discovered a Bruno with Ventura labeling at a flea market in Newfane, Vermont. It was missing the bridge and had been sitting in the hot sun, probably many times, so the finish on the soundboard is cracked. As I walked away, the vendor said “5 bucks”, so I took it home, put on a bridge, nut and strings. I was pleasantly surprised at the sound, but the action is great. The neck is narrower than my Martin’s, and the fingerboard is arched, good for my small hands. It is also heavier than my Martin, perhaps why it doesn’t have great volume, but I love it!

Just wanted to know something about this guitar. It was my father’s.
: Just wanted to know something about this guitar. It was my father’s.
I’ve had one for 33 years. I worked in a guitar shop then in Bakersfield California. It sold for $110 then and still sounds as nice as many guitars that are much more expensive.
I also have a Ventura 1588 and would like to sell.
How much money should I ask for?
It’s in very good condition, although used.

Hi, I just bought one myself. Did you ever find out the value of your guitar? I haven’t the faintest idea of how to find out the value. I took a different guitar to a shop, and it was switched out on me, so I’m afraid to take this one (the Yamaha) anywhere. Thanks, Toni

I would appreciate any information on this guitar. It appears in good condition.
I bought one back in ’77, brand new. It is a wonderful sounding guitar, as good as most of the Martins I’ve played. A few years back I had a pickup installed under the bridge, and the Luthier tried to buy it off me for $300; that means it’s probably worth a lot more. Believe it or not, he actually suggested removing the decal and leaving it a "No-Name" guitar, which supposedly would help it’s value (???)

I have the Same exact guitar. She plays like a dream still. My Great, Great grandmother bought it in her early 30’s, so you can imagine how old she is. I’m looking too. If you get anything, drop me an email
: I have been looking for a website for Ventura. I presume the company no long exists. I would like to know when my Ventura was made and possibly an estimated price for it. Ventura V696. Thanks
Gentlemen,
What a guitar, huh? I guess my V696 was made in the 70’s. I have two minor problems- the machine heads are probably full of lint and what not. Theh hitch a bit- I’ll swap em out soon. Worse, tho, is the finish- it has clouded over in a few spots but feels ok if you rub your hand over it.
It is great, though, a great full bodied guitar. Lots of sound.
Their sturdy, but I doubt worth more than $2-300. Mine is worth far more to me sentimentally than anything else.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I think it is a Rosewood back and sides with a Cedar top, Rosewood neck and fret board. Rosewood nut and a plastic nut. (I filed it a little and it didn’t smell like death)
Plastic binding all the way around.
Most of all I like how solid it is.
I’m thinking of adding a new guitar to the collection, and I bet I’ll have to spend at least $500, and maybe $1200 to find a comparable instrument with all the same woods, etc.
Happy playing, let me know if you learn anything.
Matt

I recently ran across one that a 15 year old kid had been given for some work. When I first saw it I thought it was a vitage Gibson. Turns out from what I read that a Japanese company made the Ventura to compete with Gibson and did such a fine job of copying it that Gibson sued Ventura and shortly afterwords (like 1972) no one ever saw the name again. Ventura was around from 1967 to to around 72.
I read on a used guitar shop website, i didn’t get the address, that the electric ventura was a japanese gibson copy guitar.

Does anyone have any information on a copy of the 70’s Dan Armstrong acrylic guitar made by the Ventura guitar company. It’s a beautiful copy down to the replaceable pickup. It’s got a three way toggle that I would like to know how it functions(it seems to bypass the tone knob all the way to the right and has no effect all the way to the left). I think it was made in the seventies but I’m not sure because there are no serial #’s or manufacturer’s marks other than the Ventura name which looks like mother of pearl inlay on the veneered headstock. Any info on this guitar’s electronics or anything about it for that matter would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi guys. I’m also looking for parts. I have a Ventura V-17 12-string (serial number 35130). I found it in a dumpster, and its been seriously abused, but as it has 11 of the 12 strings intact (only 1 of the high Es is broken). Anyway, I tuned it up and found out it sounds pretty good for dumpster trash, so I’m going to rebuild it. Its badly warped (face – neck seems fine). Hmm .. if I could only get my ferret out of it now – he likes it too!
Anyone ever heard anything about a Ventura copy of a Dan Armstrong Acrylic guitar?
Yes, I have one…. Do you? What condition is yours in. Is it complete?
Does anyone know the approximate worth of a Ventura Model V10 accoustic guitar. This is the most crisp, and clear sounding guitar that I own. Please inform me!
I`m trying to find out myself. I`ve had mine for 30 years! I agree it sounds and plays better than any other guitar made.
When I had a pickup put in on my old Ventura acoustic, the luthier tried to buy it from me for $300. That means it’s worth a lot more. Of course, it has abalone inlay, and a solid top with a Brazilian rosewood fretboard.

I was just wondering if the worth of this particular model is higher depending on how old the guitar is. Do you know?

The V-10 is a smaller body guitar and probably most similar to some of the early Yamahas. It does have a decent tone and the playability is very good. Unfortunately, they are not worth very much. I’ve owned several and the most recent one I paid $100 for.

I’m not sure of the current value of the V-10. I have had mine so long that I couln’t think of not haveing her around. I hope to pass this old lady down to my sons, the gift of music is pricless, like this old girl.
: The V-10 is a smaller body guitar and probably most similar to some of the early Yamahas. It does have a decent tone and the playability is very good. Unfortunately, they are not worth very much. I’ve owned several and the most recent one I paid $100 for.

i want to know how much a ventura 12 string guitar is?
: i want to know how much a ventura 12 string guitar is?
I’ve got a ventura V16 12-string. It’s got a spruce top, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard. The back, sides, bridge and headstock are made of a wood that’s figured and grained like rosewood, but the wood seems to have a lot more color variation than rosewood, and it’s mostly on the light side. It has some nice abalone or fake abalone inlay around the rosette and purfling, and the position markers look like elongated "eye" shape. The guitar is really well built and sounds great, but I don’t know any more than I’ve seen posted here. If your guitar is like mine, it’s probably worth a lot more than the market would bear.
I have one and it is the FINEST acoustic I have ever had. There is an old catalog online that dates mine to 1968. It has a moustache style adjustable bridge and is a small body, grand concert size.
If you have one, hold on to it, or sell it to ME! 🙂 I only paid $125 for it.
They are solid rosewood back and sides, and solid, tight grained sitka spruce top. Abalone inlays that are teardrop shape.
Beautiful to look at, beautiful sound. I compared it to a John Meyer Martin and the Ventura rides right with it!
I was wondering what this bass is worth. It is in almost mint condition.
:i was wondering why bass guitarist are very much active …they jump, run ,shake there headsand so on …is the guitarist for entertainment….

I have an aucustic rex royal inside the guitar case it says 1899 I was curious if any oen can give me any info on this type of guitar
Found that the Rex Royal guitars were actually student guitars. No great values on these instruments but I know mine has more sentimental value than anything.
I also have a Rex Royal that was my Dad’s. I don’t know the date but know it is over 60 years old. Would also like some info on it.
: I have an aucustic rex royal inside the guitar case it says 1899 I was curious if any oen can give me any info on this type of guitar
My mom had an rex royal aucustic that i think was bought new when my mom and dad got married in 1956. I would also like to know if anybody has any knowledge of it or its worth, it’s not electric. She also had a truetone electric guitar that she got from my uncle, year unknown, would like to have info on it also. They are not for sale! I would just be curious for any info on either one but especailly the rex royal, because that is what she always played.
I inheireted a Rex Royal from my grandfather and from what Im told, its over 60 yrs old. I too have no information on it.
:I know someone in scotland who has a Rex Royal also, but we can’t find any information on it.

A little over 20 years ago mine was lost to a stupid pawn I made while I was in the middle of a divorce. My heart was broken and I was never able to replace it. If you still have it, what would you be willing to part with it for?
All I can say is keep it. You won’t regret it, if you are aguitarist that is.

I have a Ventura V-10. Have had it about 17 years. I bought it used and it still has great tone and depth. It was bought in a pawn shop and I would not take for it.
I have here a Ventura Hollow bodied electric circa late 60’s early to mid 70’s (s/n:1024248) If you have any info about this model, can you tell me a little bit about it?
I have a Ventura 6 string acoustic and a Ventura electric bass. Both have a great sound, I was looking for information on them too. I think that the bass is very old, it is dark purple and has a short neck. I really don’t have any information on either. Is there a Ventura WWW site?
: Have you ever heard of Ventura Guitars? If you have, can you tell me a little bit about them?
About ten years ago I paid $70. for mine. It seems to be a ES335 copy. It’s red with white binding, real f-holes, two humbuckers,3-way switch, 2 volume controls, 2 tones, floating pickguard, and a pseudo bigsby tremolo. I’m no expert but I think it sounds good. All I really know about them is that they are considered to be a good quality Korean import and that they were made in the seventies.
hi! im living in turkey and i have a one ventura es-335 copy too.i ve purchased it from a guitar shop, cost about 200 bucks and it was the deal of my life! which has 2 hb ,pseudo bigsby etc.. i know that the company was japan and lived only 5 or 6 years.(between i think 67 to mid seventies!) they only exported to the states. no official european export has ever made. they produced loads of high quality guitars even sometimes head to head to gibsons and fenders and they have sold them as low as the half prices of real gibsons or fenders etc.
the story is something like this. the things i ve learnt about how the company was closed is related with gibson and fender companies 😉

I own a Ventura I picked up last fall. I appears to be a knock-off of the Gretsch Country Gentleman. The dealer estimated it as a 1968 model. It was two pickups, a semi-hollow body (no f-holes, but it is painted with black to simulate f-holes). I like it a lot, I can get almost every tone I want out of it.
Hi,
I am restoring a 1968-69 Ventrua Country Gentleman and need your help. Mine is missing the pick guard and I have a company that will make me a copy, but I need the tracing from an original. I would be happy to pay for the tracing and mailing cost.
Thanks in advance

I have owned a ventura v200s for some 25 yrs now and it sounds great, I am no virtuoso, but i play often and have had many comments on the sound and looks. It is a red sunburst, and I paid $167 for it. I never saw one like it before or after.

In 1980 I received a used Ventura Bruno V-1585 Ser#C19161 for my birthday. I’ve bought other guitars since but I am always impressed with its sound after playing the others! Everything on it is original except the strings. As it gets older the sound gets sweeter! I’ve searched around looking for more information on this guitar but to no avail. What once was my "traveling" or "beach guitar" is now my most prized instrument.

I own the Ventura Country Gentlemen copy. I replaced the bridge pickups with some old Gibson pickups and the thing SCREAMS! It has so many good tones and looks and plays well that I could never see myself getting rid of it. The action is low as others have stated but it’s surprisingly comfortable to play. Vey well built for an Asian guitar. Here’s some useful info about Ventura guitars:
Instruments previously produced in Japan circa 1970s.
Ventura guitars were distributed in the U.S. market by C. Bruno & Company of New York, New York. Ventura models were both full body and thinline hollow body electric archtop guitars, and generally medium to good quality versions of popular American models.
During the 1970s, a Barney Kessel Custom-style copy (the model is a V-1400, by the way) had a suggested retail price of $199.50. If one of these guitars gets sold at a big guitar show for $200 to $250, does this mean that the guitar has appreciated in value or the retail price of today´s Korean semi-hollow body guitars has risen over the past twenty five years? Traditionally, there is a ceiling to how high a price can raise on imported laminate wood semi-hollow body guitars – but who can put a price tag on that intangible "funkiness" factor?

To Whom it may concern,
I, too, used to own a Ventura semi-acoustic, that I had bought from a second-hand store about 8 years ago,
and paid $275 Canadian (about $200 US), so it’s probably not worth jack shit. Another thing that
the Ventura doesn’t have going for it is the fact that it’s Japanese. Unless you own a Takamine, then
Japanese in any brand of guitar is not worth owning.
Hope this helps you out, Geoff

I bought ($175)a Ventura 12-String (Bruno) in 1972 and still own it. Great sounding tones and has endured many trips to the beach. Probably not as good as some but has served me well. Anybody know how much it is worth now?

I bought a Ventura 6-string new in 1977, copy of a Martin Dreadnaught. The logo is "Ventura" but the label inside the guitar by the neck bracing says "Takamine Guitars". The quality of the guitar is much better than I’ve seen on any Ventura, and most Takamines. It has a sold top, rosewood fretboard, real abalone inlay. Best of all, it plays better than many Martins and most Takamines. Wonderful, rich tone. Evidently, Ventura had (or has) some kind of arrangement with Takamine. Can anyone enlighten us as to their association?
I’m no expert on the history of Ventura but I do know a great guitar when I see one. Not all Venturas are "great guitars" but there are quite a few gems out there to be had reasonable. I currently own 10 Venturas guitars. 3 archtops a thin line hollow body a few les paul copies, 2 V14
6-string acoustics and 2 12-string guitars. Not to start any rumors but he woods used on the V14’s looks to be made of koa woood on the back and sides. I bought 2 of these V41’s and man let me tell you: they are LOUD! They play great and the necks, after 30 years, are as strainght as can be. I got each of my "koas" of less than $200 a piece. Take a look at what other koa guitars go for…$2500 to start. If these baby’s aren’t koa (which I’m pretty sure they are by the way they sound) they have the best tone one could hope to have. Did I mention that one of my 12 strings is also koa? The tone, balance and volume of this guitar is unbelievable! I know I’ll probably get bashed by all the people that think you have to spend $4000 to get a quality guitar, but for what I do, these guitars are perfect. I have a pro tools based recording studio and my recorded tracks sound as good if not better than most of what I hear being released today. The moral of this story is: quality is quality no matter how much it costs. Get em while you can at bargin prices because when people figure out what Venturas are…the prices will likely go MUCH higher.
The guy who says Japanese isnt worth shit doesnt know shit. I like my v-12 better than most guitars I try out on 48th St. in NYC. Beautiful tone, beautiful action. Nice cosmetically, too. Nice rosewood. I ran into Marc Anthony on the street in Harlem, and he signed mine. I would never get rid of mine.
I have an original Ventura v-10. 1972. Its the greatest guitar ever made. Any offers?

I bought one a couple of years ago, real cheap, because one of the pickups had gone bad. I fixed it, not back to normal, but where it would work, and got some great sounds out of it. A couple weeks ago, I was going to re-wire it, because mine has four switches, and two volumes, so I was going to have each switch control 1 of the two pickups inside the humbuckers, and use one pot as a tone, and the other as the volume. But the pickups were so old and corroded, that they fell apart in my had, it is a wonder that they even played at all for so long.
My Ventura is a hollow body with no f-holes and no simulated f-holes. It has a rosewood vener over the entire body, and a gloss finish that makes it look like a glazed doughnut. Straight out of a 1970’s trailer park! The neck, my favorite part, is very small compared to that of a strat, or most other guitars. I find it very easy to do barre-chords without becoming fatigued after a 15 minutes like a strat will do to my hand.
In 1971 I went on the road with a Venture knock-off of a Gibson 335. I’ve been playing for over 40 years and I’ve never owned a better guitar (I’ve had Fenders, Gibsons, Gretchs, Yamahas, etc.) I sure wish I could get my hands on that Ventura again. I sold it in Denver in 1977. I use to sell Venturas in Iowa and they made some beautiful instruments.

I got this guitar when I was 12 years old and sold it in the mid 1980s. I ran into the fella who I sold it to and he just gave it back. I replaced the tail piece with an orig bixby. I had orig put gibson humbuckers and grover tuners in about 1971 and had a sound post put into it for added performance. This old guitar smokes. I was so glad to get it back. Twas surely a blessing and answer to my prayers. I would love to find a replacement white pick guard for it as that was lost over the years. Replacement parts seem to be hard to find.

My ventura is a les paul style that seems to have all the weight and bells and whistles that an original gibson has. Before the japanese became the powerhouse manufactuers they are today, they were known for copying existing products and making them better. I don’t think my copy is anywhere as good or worth as much as a real gibson, but for the $80 I have invested, it seems to be a very decent instrument.

Hi Melissa, ventura went out of business several years ago, but made a reasonable price guitar, not top of the line by any means but easy to play and great for the money.
This popular thread has been given its own page : Red Ventura electric guitar from 1972:

Hello:
My name is Peter. I used to own a Ventura, red, hollow body guitar with a very beautiful and easy to play neck. It was bought in 1972 for me and I had to sell it several years later for $35 dollars because of economic needs (family of 9 and I was only 23 years old when I sold it. I lament selling that beautiful and trustworthy friend. Now that I am older in age and wiser, I yearn for that old guitar of mine that slipped from my hands. It was bought for me in 1972 for $125 dollars down here in San Antonio, Texas by an uncle of mine at Alamo Music Store. It sounded so great that a friend of mine wanted to trade me his Fender Flying V guitar for the longest time.
Where ever you are, take care my little guitar and keep sounding beautiful as you always did.
Peter

:I also have a v-6. I bought it in 68 or 69. I have found out that Fender made them. They are imported from Japan. No one who has seen my guitar has seen one like it.

: In 1971 I went on the road with a Venture knock-off of a Gibson 335.
: : : : Have you ever heard of Ventura Guitars? If you have, can you tell me a little bit about them?
: : : I own a Ventura I picked up last fall.
Hey Jerry– as a ventura player maybe you could give me some info–I bought an Ventura V-10 a few months ago to rescue it from the local Goodwill store, and because I liked the looks of it and figured I might pass it along to some kindwho wants to learn after I get it in shape. It’s a knock off of the Martin 000-18 I think. Nice spruce top, straight neck, frets okay, body in good shape, and overall a nice instrument. I’m wondring how I could find out how long Bruno imported them– its a V-10, but those are about the only markings I can find on it. It sounds pretty good except quite a bit "twangier" than I like, even with some new D’darrio lights on it. If you or anyone you know has any info on old Ventura acoustics I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks in advance.
: : I bought one a couple of years ago, real cheap, because one of the pickups had gone bad.
: : My Ventura is a hollow body with no f-holes and no simulated f-holes.

: IN 1969 I bought a Gibson Barney Kessel clone . I have just discovered it is a Ventura as it has no name only the distinctive inlay character in the headstock. Mine was one of six , custom made for a group of guitar teachers who sold them to enthusiatic students (like me) in Melbourne,Australia . The company went on to make many (hundreds?) more with improvements to plating, pickups and pots. I can’t part with this one.

I have a Ventura that is a copy of a Gibson Barney Kessel full size arch top and I have to tell you, I would put this guitar up against the original as far as tone. The body and neck are made of maple and the fingerboard has one of the nicest pieces of rosewood that I have ever seen. The construction of the guitar is really solid. I have had this guitar since 1988 but I believe it was manufactured in the early 70’s.

: : : I have a Ventura V-16 12-string that I bought about 7 years ago for $90 at a guitar shop in Wichita, KS. It’s Japanese made, with nice inlays in the neck and head. The finish is also really nice looking. It plays excellent – great sound, easy on the fingers, stays in tune really well. I think I got a great deal on this guitar, and I’m keeping my eyes out for another Ventura.
: I bought mine in Venice Ca for $129. Big bucks then. I’m not a player but I have always LOVED the sound of this 12 string. I wonder if I am one of a few ???

I acquired a Ventura V-116 in about 1978. It was purchased used from a private party. It is a 12 string dreadnaught design. Internal label states "designed in USA buit in Japan" along with Name model and serial #.
This is not a really great instrument but it’s at all a bad guitar. I suspect that all of the woods from which it is buit are laminate. It has two ‘6 strip’ tuning machines.
I too, would be interested in any info you folks find.
I used to own a very narrow-waisted Ventura classical guitar with brown-and-white checkerboard inlay around the edges. I don’t know the model name, but it was well-made, though imported. How might I find another one?

I have a classical style Ventura purchased new in 1970, model V-1586, but would not part with it. I would love to know more about the history of this line of guitar. The one I have has held up well and has maintained great sound. Spruce top with mahogany sides and back. Made in Japan. I would love to know who manufactured this line. It was imported by Bruno and Co. The name Bruno is shown inside the body under the name Ventura.

V1583 is the model I have. Approx date of purchase 1970. cost about 70$. It has been through heck all these years. Never had a case. Has dings all over and cracks too. But I love it and it is part of me. Actions is incredibly low and so it is fun to play. Sound is not bad. Would love to have another one in mint condition. If you have such a gem, please let me know.

I have a Ventura but I’m a real idiot when it comes to guitars. The model number is v-10. I think it’s older but I doubt highly it is classical. I want to sell it and was thinking of putting it up on Ebay. Does anyone know anything about this model guitar? Please help

I have the same model here at home. My parents bought it for me when I Started to play guitar when I was about 10, so I would guess it’s a 70’s model. It was fairly inexpensive then, under $100….
I have the same model, and bought it at a garage sale in 1997 for $80. I don’t know anything else about this little guitar.
