Does anyone out there know how many of the EXCELLENT Dan Armstrong copies were made by Electra? The
guy I bought mine from said there were only 300 made when Dan Armstrong told Electra to "stop it".
Thanx.

I have proto type modell 2246 Serial # 50. It has machined plastic pick guard and head piece. The original ones had a problem with bubbles showing up in the experimental plastic. This was later corrected. Mine has blemishes in the body. I am willing to entertain offers on it. Write me.

I have one like this except it has a cool tourch inlaid in the crown and rectangular inlays on the next. I bought it second hand back in the 70’s and I guess it was brand new. One of the best guitars I own. I would like to learn more about it. The model is 2257. I used to have the brochure but it’s been lost over the years. It’s one of the highest quality guitars I’ve seen. Very heavy!

I own one. Purchased it in 1982 or early 1983.
Best guitar I have ever owned. I would like schematics for it’s "active electronics" (preamp) because it went out in the mid-1990’s.
I have a pheonix electra guitar mettalic green, 2 humbuckers and 1 single coil pickup. It is supposed to have a graphite neck, I know that u can drop it 4 times and it will still be in tune, is this guitar worth money? I need info. you can even call me at 1-405-756-1777. thank you.
: Can anyone tell anything about this guitar? Thanks,
yes, a little. i have owned one for 20+ years and i would not trade it for my strat. it is similar to the electra westone but had much better electronics. pull buttons out for strat/telecaster tone and push in for les paul humbucker sounds. very versitile guitar. i would keep it. mine is red with black trim. what is yours?
I have an Electra, which i’m sure is fairly old, its one that you plug the modules in the back.Ok-1.I dont know the model, how do i find out?? 2.I need new hardware for the modules and i need the back plastic cover to cover the modules..where can i get parts.Overall its a nice guitar, i really like its Les Paul styling.Any electra owners that see this email me to help me out or to just give me some helpful tips about the guitar.
Go to http://www.rivercityamps.com.

I have an Electra guitar wih the moduals thyat plug into the back. It needs new wire and hardware, Where can I get the parts I need to getit in working order?
I have a ’80 vintage electra; I believe it’s a version of what’t called a Working Man. I don’t know much else, but ist’s a really nice guitar. All mahogany except fret board; typical Gibsonesque, but I wouldn’t call it a Les Paul copy. Has the plastic cover on the back, but I don’t think it has any effects. The switch is the typical type to control the pick-ups only; at least that’s all I think it does. At any rate, I’d sure like to find out more about this guitar. It’s a beauty, but a professional set-up was required to get it playing right.

Do some one know the price of the model X260 workinman Electra?, I have one but I want to know the price.
Costa Rica
Central America
The X260 is not the Workingman series. It is the X260 Invicta. The Wirkingman has the bolt on neck, while the Invicta has the setneck with contoured heel.

You are absolutely correct! My girlfriend bought me this guitar brand new for $129 in 1982. I sold it it 1995 and wish I could find one to replace it. It played as good as my 71 LP gold top and was lighter. I saw one on ebay last week but lost it, (sniped). Arggggg!!
I want another!!!

The Workingman has a bolted on neck. The X260 (Invicta Model) has a moulded neck and almost looks like one piece. Do you have a pic of the guitar? I may be interested. I got one brand new in 82-83 for $129. I would pay $XXX if it is fact the Invicta. The Invicta (X260) came only in a dark walnut stain.3 knobs, 2 pickups and chrome tuners w/brass nut.

I paid $150.00. It’s got a couple of very small knicks but very clean otherwise…plays very nice compared to a Les Paul Epi. Any ideas where I could find value? Thanks!

I have been playing an electra for the last few months and can’t seem to get the sound I want.(in looking for a clean jazz feel) If I knew what the knobs and switches did I could probably get it. Can anyone shed any light on what knob does what?
Hello,
I also have a Electra guitar, strato model. Have you found any information of it on the web ?
Best regards from Brazil.

Hi Jerry; I have a later model Electra, and am quite familiar with the earlier models. The one you describe is a Les Paul copy, right? Likely quite heavy, and with an excellent tone? Is there a large piece of plastic on the back? If there is, you have a model with built in effects modules, which are activated by switches on the front of the guitar.
Electras were the very highest quality Japanese electric guitars, but for some reason are seriously undervalued. I have seen the model you describe selling for about $350 with the effects units, and around $275 without. Either way, a nice instrument. I love mine!
Yes, I Know what you are talking about it is worth $900.00

For all of you who are looking for info on Electra guitars, I’ve just inherited "The Electra MPC Page" from Mike Cantrell. This page has been one of the only Electra resources on the web, and has been online since August 1998. The page can now be viewed at http://www.herons.ca/electra
